semana 03 diciembre

Hola clase,

As promised I will be placing the project requirements below.   Remember you must email me your powerpoint before the 12th of December.  If you do not you will be given a zero, no excuses since you have plenty of time to work on 8 slides including class time.  This week we will continue with the notes on SO8 pretérito and SO9 el futuro.  We will be working with these concepts this week and part of each class will be dedicated to working on your sentences for the project.



Power point presentation (will take place of next current event) EVERYONE will present
You will need 1 picture per slide about your topic
You will choose a Hispanic country and your presentation will be about that country.  You will describe a winter holiday tradition/celebration that country participates in.
Project is worth 50 points, 5 points per slide, 5 points for creativity/neatness/ can we understand and read it, 5 points for the required pictures
Due date:  bring research material and/or phones to class on December 3/4. We will work on your sentences IN class.  Powerpoint due: 12/14 December BE READY TO PRESENT THAT DAY NO EXCUSES.  All that have not presented up to now will be the first to present.
Project will be emailed to me by 1145 pm on 11 December.  No later.  You may not bring it in your memory stick!!!  If I were you I would send me a practice email prior to that day.  I will respond and that way you know you have the correct email.

Information on each slide will be in 1-2 sentences in Spanish for SO8, 3-4 sentences for SO9
Slide 1: title slide (include: your name, period, name of country, name of celebration)
Slide 2: What is the celebration?  What happens in the celebration?
Slide 3: When does it occur?  (date- start and end dates)
Slide 4: Why do they celebrate this day/time?
Slide 5:  Where do they celebrate it? (in home, neighborhood, country-wide, etc)

Slide 6: How do they celebrate?  (describe the preparations, the day of the celebration, what goes on, etc.)
Slide 7: What surprised you about this holiday? What did you like or not? Why?
